(KNSI) — Pumpkin carving is typically associated with Halloween, but it will get underway for the Pine Grove Zoo a little early.

The zoo is looking for anyone of any age to help carve pumpkins for BooFest. They don’t have to be a professional. Just someone looking to have a gourd time.

Pumpkins are provided, but they say anyone with extras can bring them along.

Organizers hope people can carve out some time on Wednesday, October 18th. Doors open at 3:45 p.m. This is a BYOT situation, so bring your own tools. They can come out at 4:00.

Those in attendance have a chance to win free admission to BooFest, which is October 21st from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The carved pumpkins will line the pathways for BooFest.

Preregister by calling 320-616-5595 or emailing info@pinegrovezoo.com
