(KNSI) — The Paramount Theater downtown St. Cloud is kicking off its fall season with a party and terrific tribute to rock royalty.
Kings of Queen are bringing their epic four part harmonies to the Paramount stage on September 29th. The group is the top Queen tribute act in the country. Close your eyes, and you likely will hear little difference between the singer’s soaring vocals and that of the late Freddy Mercury. Not to be outdone by the audio treat, it’s a feast for the eyes with costumes to boot.
There is a pre-show tent party at 6:00 outside, with the Wheelhouse Trio, which is a three piece acoustic act made up of members from Walter’s Wheelhouse. The group covers everything from pop to rock to country and R&B.
Food and beverages will be made available for purchase during the party from local, authentic Irish pub, Olde Brick House, so come hungry. The menu is a nod – or a curtsy – to UK cuisine with shepherd’s pie, meatloaf sliders, and mac and cheese. It’s not just any mac and cheese. The Olde Brick House’s spinach, winey mushroom and pale ale mac and cheese. But save room for dessert. Or eat it first. No judgment here. The special killer queen trifle is a Guinness chocolate cake topped with Bailey’s whipped cream and Jameson caramel.
Then, head inside for the Kings of Queen. Showtime is at 8:00.
Tickets are $46.50. Buy them by clicking here. Food vouchers can be bought in advance for $25 by clicking here.
