(KNSI) — The St. Cloud Area YMCA’s largest fundraiser of the year is Thursday.

The 20th annual Promenade will take place from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Harvester Square above Iron Street Distillery in East St. Cloud. It’s billed as the area’s premier wine and craft beer-tasting event.

Chairwoman Lindsay Hermans-Miller told KNSI News there are special plans for the landmark anniversary to honor past Promenade committees.

“Over those last 19 years, we’ve raised over a million dollars for the YMCA. So that’s pretty exciting. And we’re on pace this year to have one of our biggest years yet.”

Hermans-Miller talked about what they use the proceeds for. “They use all of the funding for the swimming program, various other programs that they support through the Y and helping people get access to the services and resources that the Y has, regardless of their financial ability.”

Over 75 silent auction items are open to the public for bidding, even if they are not attending the event. There will also be a live band this year. Individual tickets are still available at the YMCA or online by clicking here.
