(KNSI) – Another homeless encampment in the St. Cloud area was cleared out Tuesday morning.
Roughly ten people have been living in tents along the river off 6th Avenue North near the Mississippi River Bridge in the city and Le Sauk Township.
On Tuesday, someone with knowledge of the situation told KNSI News that representatives from the St. Cloud VA, Stearns County Social Services and the St. Cloud Police Department’s Mental Health Response Team are working on helping the unhoused find places to stay. Some people are from the area, and others are passing through.
The Lincoln Center in east St. Cloud is full after the city cleared an encampment near Veterans Bridge last month.
