(KNSI) — Among the items on the agenda for Monday night’s St. Cloud City Council meeting is a presentation of the results of a recent citizens’ survey and a public hearing on reconfiguring part of East St. Germain Street.
Mayor Dave Kleis will release the results of the survey during a presentation to start Monday night’s city council meeting. The survey was mailed out over the summer, and residents could also answer online.
The city will also hold a public hearing on planned changes to East St. Germain Street between Veterans Bridge and the railroad tracks behind Iron Street Distillery. The city proposes reducing lanes from four to three by providing a dedicated left turn lane. The change would create 37 on-street parking spaces. City planners hope the $79,000 investment will help redevelop the east end.
The approval of an apartment complex at the corner of Cooper Avenue and Roosevelt Road is listed in the city’s consent agenda. Plans call for the land to be rezoned to allow for a three-story, 74-unit apartment building and a four-story, 62 unit building. Both will be constructed on top of parking garages. A public hearing on the project would be set for October 9th if approved.
The city council meeting will start at 6:00 p.m.
