(KNSI) – A traffic stop by the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, September 14th, nets drugs and a stolen gun.

Deputies pulled over a vehicle on Highway 371 north of Little Falls at about 1:30 p.m. The driver provided a false name but law enforcement was able to identify him as Damien Wade of Isle, Minnesota. His passenger was 21-year-old Ty’rell Stewart of Richfield. Both men had outstanding warrants.

Deputies searched the vehicle and found nearly six ounces of fentanyl, the handgun, and $691 in cash, which was seized. Both men are still in the Morrison County Jail. Wade has been charged with 1st degree drug possession, receiving stolen property, and giving a false name. Stewart was charged with the drug possession and stolen property offenses.

Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen says the deputy used his training to help deter future crime that could have become a public safety threat.
