(KNSI) — The St. Cloud Fire Department was busy Wednesday with four separate fire-related calls.

The first happened on the 4300 block of Clearwater Road South around 12:45 p.m. A grass fire had started along a fence line near the garbage cans. That was put out before it spread to any nearby structures. The cause is under investigation.

The second was at a multi-family home on the 1500 block of 24th Avenue North around 3:30 p.m. Smoke and flames were reported in one of the units. The person inside used a fire extinguisher to put it out. According to the critical incident report, crews used thermal imaging equipment and said there was no fire extension, and using the fire extinguisher kept the damage to a minimum. The cause is under investigation.

Just after 5:00 p.m., firefighters responded to a two vehicle crash on the 2500 block of West Division Street. One of the cars started on fire. It was put out before it could spread. It’s unclear if there were any injuries related to the crash, but no one was hurt in the ensuing fire.

At 10:15 p.m., crews were called to a car fire in the driveway of a home on the 1900 block of 10th Avenue South. That fire was also put out before it spread. The cause is under investigation.
