(KNSI) — Parts of Highway 10 will be down to one lane north and south of the St. Cloud starting next week.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says crews will install high-tension cable median barriers beginning Monday, September 18th.

The work will take place on Highway 10 between 58th Street in Royalton and Highway 27 in Little Falls. Workers will also be on Benton County Road 40/Halfway Crossing to north of the Platte River in Royalton. Construction will then move to the highway between Sherburne County Road 7 to north of Highway 24 in Clear Lake.

Drivers will need to look for roadwork signs, lane shifts and reduced speeds. Workers will be out on good weather days during daylight hours until mid to late November.

When complete, the $6.6 million safety improvement project is intended to prevent crossover collisions with oncoming vehicles.
