Sauk Rapids-Rice 14, Sartell 7: Senior Dillon Miller saves the day for the Storm. He spelled Adam Purcell after the sophomore suffered from repeated cramping and was leaned on heavily in the decisive scoring drive. Miller had seven carries for 41 yards and a fourth-quarter touchdown. The Storm scored first on a Spencer Ackerman one-yard run, but Sartell answered back in the second quarter to have a 7-6 lead at the break. The Storm had two golden opportunities in the red zone in the third quarter that were turned back, but kept pushing and did just enough to improve to 2-0. Sartell falls to 0-2.

Bloomington Jefferson 24, St. Cloud Tech 13: Jonathan Weber runs for four touchdowns, which was too much for Tech to overcome. The Tigers scored on a touchdown pass from Connor Harnes to Jackson Sheetz and a pick-six returned by Gavin Gall to the house.

ROCORI 27, Minneapolis North 12: It was Will Steil’s coming out party as Spartan quarterback. The senior ran for three scores and threw a 34-yard touchdown pass to receiver Grant Tylutki in the win.

Albany 43, Melrose 0: The Huskies run for an incredible 415 yards. Adam Dennis powered into the end zone three times on 21 carries and 173 yards. It was part of a ten-person attack totaling 55 attempts. The average carry ended up at an eye-popping 7.5 yards.

New London-Spicer 10, Foley 6: The Falcons led at halftime, 6-3, courtesy of a touchdown pass from QB Noah Fitch to receiver Chase David. NL-S senior Mason Delzer bulldozed his way into the end zone from two yards out to put the Wildcats up for good in the third quarter.
