Central Lakes Conference
Area schools continue to consolidate their hold on the top of the standings early in the conference season.
Sauk Rapids-Rice 3, Willmar 0 (25-22, 34-32, 25-14): It was close at the beginning. The Storm outlasted the Cardinals in an extra-sized second game and dominated the third for a straight-set win. The team leaned on senior Ava Athman, who recorded 18 kills. Katelyn Anderson dished out 28 assists.
Brainerd 3, St. Cloud Tech 2 (25-22, 25-17, 17-25, 25-27, 9-15): The Tigers almost had their first win of the season but they couldn’t finish off the Warriors and lose a heartbreaker.
Sartell 3, Monticello 1 (25-17, 25-17, 19-25, 25-15): The Sabres remain undefeated. Abby Haus and Brenna McClure led Sartell’s attack.
ROCORI 3, Fergus Falls 0 (25-15, 25-7, 25-17)
Alexandria 3, Apollo 0 (25-9, 25-11, 25-4)

Cathedral 3, Pierz 2 (23-25, 25-14, 25-11, 24-26, 15-10): Pierz was led offensively and defensively by Alyssa Sadlovsky. She had 10 kills to go with 28 digs for the Pioneers.
