Central Lakes Conference
Sauk Rapids-Rice 3, St. Cloud Tech 0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-13): It was a balanced attack from the Storm to pick up the sweep. Ava Athman paced the squad with 15 kills but Josie Anderson (7), Wendi Peterson (5), and Jordyn Lee (5) all chipped in with significant contributions. Katelyn Anderson and Aubrey Marketon each reached double figures in assists. Tech’s Miracle Jensen had eight kills, two aces, and 10 digs.
ROCORI 3, Alexandria 0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-14): The Spartans take down the Cardinals on the road, giving Alex their first conference loss of the season. Kate Holthaus led ROCORI with 20 kills.
Sartell 3, Willmar 2 (26-24, 23-25, 23-25, 26-24, 15-12): It doesn’t get much closer than this five-set thriller. That’s two consecutive hard-fought conference wins for Sartell. They improve to 3-0 in the Central Lakes. The Cardinals got at least 20 kills from both Brielle Ogdahl and Gretchen Volk.

Granite Ridge Conference
Royalton 3, Little Falls 1 (22-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-16): Janna Middendorf controlled the back line for the Flyers, picking up 26 digs. It wasn’t enough to topple the visitors from Royalton, though.
Albany 3, Holdingford 0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-22): The Huskies improve to 5-1 overall, and 1-0 in the conference.
St. Cloud Cathedral 3, Elk River 2 (16-25, 19-25, 25-16, 25-10, 15-12): The reverse sweep for the Crusaders as they charge from two sets down for the victory.

Sartell 6, ROCORI 1: Marcus Congdon was the only Sabre to notch two goals. He also picked up an assist.

Games played on Friday, September 1st: Albany shut out Hillcrest Lutheran, 8-0, and Cathedral toppled Becker at home, 5-0.
