(KNSI) – You can help the families of veterans and first responders in September when you round up while shopping at Coborn’s and Cash Wise grocery and liquor stores.

Coborn’s, Inc. has teamed up with the Folds of Honor Foundation. The organization gives educational scholarships to the spouses and kids of fallen or disabled service members, police officers, firefighters and paramedics to help them pursue their educational dreams.

Throughout September, customers can round up their order total to the nearest dollar to be donated to the foundation. Shoppers can also give $1.00, $5.00, and $10.00 at checkout.

Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Coborn’s, Inc. Dennis Host said, “The bravery of these women and men, our very neighbors, is incredibly inspiring. There’s no amount of gratitude that will ever be enough. It’s important we all support our veterans and first responders because, without them and their extraordinary sacrifice, our communities couldn’t continue to thrive.”

Since its start in 2007, Folds of Honor has given out more than 44,000 scholarships totaling about $200 million.
