(KNSI) – St. Cloud residents get a chance to weigh in on the 2024 budget and also will get more information on the city’s bonding request this Saturday.

The input session will begin at 9:00 a.m. at city hall. St. Cloud is asking for $100 million in infrastructure improvements that would help spur private development to add housing and a revitalized commercial district. Mayor Dave Kleis talked about the meeting in his weekly address.

“Whether it’s state funding, federal funding, local funding. Whether it’s the park referendum, the bonding that we’re asking the state for not only roads but also for our downtown. All those things will be discussed and opportunity for your input.”

A bus tour will follow at 10:00, which will feature a handful of preplanned stops. The rest will be determined by interests or concerns of those in attendance.

It will be the first chance for residents to give their thoughts on the preliminary budget that was unveiled to city council last month.
