(KNSI) — The co-founder and CEO of St. Cloud-based startup Impaks is getting national attention.

Clare Richards is being honored as one of the 2023 Junior Chamber International USA Ten Outstanding Young Americans. Impaks creates customized, pre-packaged school supply kits tailored to each school and grade, offering a one stop shop experience for parents and teachers, making sure kids have exactly what they need to start the year off right.

Winners are chosen based on their achievement or contribution in several areas, including leadership in academics, culture, business, economics/entrepreneurship, and medical innovation.

The ceremony is set for September 9th in Minneapolis.

Richards also sits on the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation’s and Central Minnesota Community Foundation boards. She also chairs the board for Granite Table.

Richards is no stranger to big ideas or big accolades. She co-founded the Saint Cloud Rotaract, a young leaders non-profit established in 2015. She was also named a Top Outstanding Young Minnesotan by JCI Minnesota and honored with the Rotary District 5950 Rotaract Accelerator Award and the Central MN American Advertising Federation Emerging Leader Award.
