(KNSI) — The Stearns County Parks Department is doing a unique partnership with the Great River Regional Library System to allow for greater access to Quarry Park and Nature Preserve.

Users with a library card can check out a Stearns County Parks pass for free access to the park for seven days. Each library will have two passes available for checkout on a first come, first serve basis. The pass can be checked out for up to seven days and must be displayed on the vehicle’s dashboard. The pass is printed with an expiration date, and the user can recycle it when it expires.

Library locations include Albany, Belgrade, Cold Spring, Kimball, Melrose, Paynesville, Richmond, St. Cloud, Sauk Centre, and Waite Park.

Quarry Park is located at 1802 County Road 137 in Waite Park, MN 56387 and is open every day from 8:00 a.m. until half hour after sunset.

Annual Permits are $25.00. Daily Permits between Labor Day thru Memorial Day are $5.00. Daily Permits between Memorial Day thru Labor Day are $10.00. Walking or biking into the park is free.
