(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Community Outpost will have a pair of events in late August to ensure students are ready for the first day of school.

The COP House is offering free haircuts for boys and girls on the 28th. The trims are first-come-first-served, with boys getting buzzed or snipped from noon to 4:00 p.m. Girls will have their chance for a new do from 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. Free clothing will also be handed out.

Backpacks loaded with school supplies will be given away on Tuesday, August 29th. A drive was started in late July for crayons, glue, notebooks, pencils, and other items students need. Everything collected from the community will be handed out to kids from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. or while supplies last.

The Community Outpost is located at 600 13th Street South in St. Cloud.
