(KNSI) – The Blind Boys of Alabama kick off the September schedule at the Paramount Center for the Arts in an electrifying show.

The group first formed when they were students in the 1930’s at a school for the blind down south. Over 70 years later, they are still major players in the gospel scene. Tickets cost less than $30 for the general public and only $10 for students. The Blind Boys will take the stage on Saturday, September 9th.

Head back to the golden age of Broadway from the 15th to the 24th. The GREAT Theatre is producing the classic play “Guys and Dolls.” The comedy looks at an illegal underground New York scene featuring dice, showgirls, and romance. Tickets start at $25.

The official fall season kick-off promises plenty of color too. A pre-show outdoor tent party on West St. Germain Street is scheduled for the 29th, leading up to a concert from The Kings of Queen. Wheelhouse Trio will help attendees get in the mood for the main act. The tribute band will bring the unique harmonies and costumes of the legendary rock group to life when their show starts inside at 8:00 p.m.
