Wright County Beach Closed Due to High Bacteria

(KNSI) – The beach at Schroeder Park is closed through the weekend because of high bacteria levels.

The closure went into effect on Thursday. The Wright County Parks and Recreation Department says the procedure is to wait three days to test again. That is scheduled for Monday.

Once results are in, assuming levels are back below acceptable limits, the department says it will announce a re-opening. If bacteria readings are still too high, the closure will be continued.

Schroeder Park and Campground is located near County Road 39, north of Highway 55. It sits between Annandale and Maple Lake.
