(KNSI) — Big Brothers Big Sisters got a big boost during a recent fundraiser.
July 15th, Crew Carwash held its Crew for Kids fundraiser at its locations in Minnesota, including St. Cloud, and donated 50% of the proceeds from all ultimate washes to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Customers in two other markets also helped pitch in.
The total rang up to $181,706 for BBBS locations. With the funds raised, Big Brothers Big Sisters will be able to create and support more than 90 new matches this year in the communities they serve. Since 2010, several hundred “Littles” have benefited from a mentor because of the Crew for Kids event.
Over $5,000 will be donated to BBBS of Central Minnesota this year.
“We are grateful for the hard work Crew Carwash puts in every year to make this fundraiser such a BIG success,” said Jackie Johnson, Executive Director of BBBS of Central Minnesota. “Crew Carwash is a dedicated partner that helps bring our mission of finding mentors for all youth in Central Minnesota a reality, and we are so appreciative of their support. With their help, we are able to defend the potential of more youth each and every year!”
