Man Jailed After Allegedly Touching His Stepdaughter Inappropriately

(KNSI) — A 39-year-old Waite Park man is under arrest after he allegedly touched his stepdaughter inappropriately.

Court documents say officers responded to a report of a sexual assault on July 28th after someone told police about a 13-year-old girl who said her stepfather had touched her. When investigators went to the home to conduct a welfare check, they said John Rux was there and would not let them speak with her. The mother then set up an interview at the Child Advocacy Center, and the girl told them she had woken up at night and Rux was touching her over her clothing. She said he had also rubbed her thighs, making her uncomfortable.

Rux is charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct and is due in court Wednesday morning.
