(KNSI) – It’s the last week to let your voice be heard on the future of Stearns County’s Parks.
The survey closes on Friday, August 4th. Officials say by responding, you are letting your thoughts and ideas be included in the planning stages for the next ten to 20 years. Stearns County residents, visitors, and business owners are asked to give their two cents.
The survey is essential to develop a master plan for the parks, trails, and recreation system.
Stearns County is responsible for 19 parks, trails, and open spaces ranging from boat landings to large regional parks.
The county maintains Warner Lake County Park, Mississippi River County Park, Oak Township Park, Lake Koronis Regional Park, Kraemer Lake Park, Rockville Park, Spring Hill County Park, Two Rivers Lake Park site, Quarry Park and Nature Preserve, the Lake Wobegon Trail, Greenways Trails (which includes the Beaver Island Trail, Dairyland Trail, Soo Line Rail Corridor), Upper Spunk Lake County Park, Fairhaven Mill Park, Lake Sylvia Wayside, St. Martin Canoe Access, Heims Mill Canoe Access, Miller Landing, and Clearwater River Canoe Access.
