(KNSI) – A couple of road projects could give drivers headaches as they navigate around St. Cloud next week.

Beginning Monday, crews plan to close and rebuild the north intersection on Lincoln Avenue Southeast near Highway 23. The closure is expected to last all week. When the north end of the intersection re-opens, it will have a temporary gravel surface.

Lincoln Avenue, south of Highway 23, will remain open, and the highway will remain open to one-lane head-to-head traffic through the intersection.

Starting July 31st, crews plan to close and reconstruct the intersection from East St. Germain Street at Highway 10. This closure is expected to last until late August. Highway 10 will remain open to one-lane head-to-head traffic through the intersection during this time. Drivers won’t be able to use St. Germain Street in either direction. Access will be maintained for those who live, work, or shop in the project area.

Detours will be posted. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

Also, starting Monday, the westbound lane of Veterans Bridge from Riverside Drive to 5th Avenue North will be reduced to one lane due to planned utility maintenance. Traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times. The work should be finished on Tuesday.
