(KNSI) — There will be a little bonus for attendees of next week’s event at the Munsinger Clemens Gardens in southeast St. Cloud.

The Stearns History Museum will have a booth next to the botanical society at the entrance. Museum Development Associate Ann Marie Johnson says they have developed a scavenger hunt to tie into the popular annual Art Fair in the Gardens.

She says, “It’ll be just a form that they can take with them as they’re wandering about and then hopefully answer the questions. And then if they bring that hunt back and they’ve done their due diligence and answered the questions, they’ll be able to spin a wheel to get a chance to win some different prizes that we’re going to have available.”

Southeast St. Cloud’s parks and gardens have been providing memories for decades. The Clemens Garden is the youngest of the outdoor venues and it dates back over 40 years ago. Riverside Park was created in 1910. Johnson says their stories deserve to be told.

“We’re going to have this great activity that’s for all ages where people can go out and about and explore the gardens and learn a little bit more about the history of the sites and hopefully gain even more knowledge and interest in it,” she says.

The hunt is designed to be family-friendly and the result of a partnership between the Stearns History Museum and the Rethos organization. The fair is free and open to the public, running from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20th.
