(KNSI) – On Wednesday, CentraCare Foundation announced that its Lighting the Path campaign was a huge success.
The initial goal was set at $4.4 million but gifts from businesses, community members, and employees of the healthcare system beamed well past that to $6.2 million. It will allow Clara’s House, a psychiatric hospital program for kids to expand and offer services to two through five-year-olds.
There are also plans to hire a second suicide prevention coordinator and improve teamwork within the EmPATH Unit, which treats emergency mental health needs.
Vice President of Ambulatory Care Ryan Engdahl says, “The impact of this campaign will continue to be felt for years to come. We are thankful to everyone who helped contribute to its success.”
The Lighting the Path campaign ended recently and was marked by a celebration held at Clara’s House. Over 70 people attended.
