(KNSI) – A podcast about unsolved cases hopes to spark new leads about the grisly murder of two sisters in Stearns County nearly 50 years ago.

The Deck Podcast is trying to help find the person responsible for the deaths of Mary and Susan Reker. It was Labor Day on September 2nd, 1974 when 15-year-old Mary and her 12-year-old sister Susan left home to go shopping. It was the last day of summer vacation and the last time the two were seen alive.

Their bodies were found in a quarry 26 days later, three miles outside of St. Cloud. Both girls died from multiple stab wounds.

There is a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the murderer.
