(KNSI) – An unusual call for help had a Minnesota State Trooper jumping into action recently.
Trooper Mollie McClure was working traffic enforcement on Interstate 94 near Avon when she noticed a doe pacing back and forth along a fence line along the interstate. As she watched, she could hear what sounded like a young fawn bleating for help. McClure got out of her squad car and walked a fence line toward the sounds.
She found a stuck fawn. McClure wiggled the fawn free and helped it over the fence. The young deer was quickly reunited with its mother.
Video of the rescue has been circulating social media where the officer is getting praise for her quick and decisive action.
