(KNSI) – A man was rushed to the hospital, and another was arrested after allegedly hitting a pedestrian and fleeing the scene.
First responders were called to the 800 block of 9th Avenue South around 3:00 a.m. on Thursday. Officers found a 66-year-old St. Cloud man lying in the roadway with injuries. Police learned the victim had been struck by a vehicle that left the scene. The victim was taken to the CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition.
Investigators say a 63-year-old St. Cloud man was the driver of the vehicle. The man and his Dodge Ram truck were found near 10th Avenue Southeast and 10 Street Southeast around 3:30 p.m.
The man was taken into custody and is being held pending charges of Criminal Vehicular Operation.
