(KNSI) – The Liberty Block Party gets underway at 5:00 Friday with The Rockin’ Hollywoods warming up the crowd for headliners the Cowsills and Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone at Whitney Park in St. Cloud for a free concert on day two of Granite City Days.
Herman’s Hermits started performing in 1964 in Manchester, England. They are known for upbeat and playful hits like ‘I’m Henry VIII, I Am’ and ‘Can’t You Hear My Heartbeat.’ They are also known for sentimental favorites like ‘Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter and ‘Kind of A Hush.’
The Cowsills are the basis for the Partridge Family television show. The Cowsills had six siblings in the lineup, then ages eight to 19. Their most famous hit is the title song to the play Hair, which reached number two in the U.S. and topped the charts in several countries in the late-60s.
Attendees should bring a lawn chair. Food and drinks will be for sale.
