(KNSI) – Five vehicles were broken into, and basketball courts were damaged at a popular Sartell park.
Police were called to Pinecone Central Park around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday after the vehicles were entered and several items, including purses and wallets, were stolen. Police say three of the vehicles had their windows smashed.
One of the victims had an Apple Tracker in their purse and was able to locate it in Little Falls.
The Sartell Baseball Association says also someone vandalized the new Tommy B basketball courts.
Police say they’re investigating both crimes.
The courts opened last fall and were made in honor of Sartell standout hooper Tom Bearson who was killed in 2014 while attending college at North Dakota State University in Fargo.
