(KNSI) — Road work will cause some periodic closures overnight.

The closures will be on Highway 10 between 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20th and 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 21st. The Minnesota Department of Transportation says drivers should be prepared to stop and wait for up to 15 minutes as bridge beams are delivered and set for the future Highway 23 westbound bridge over Highway 10.

Highway 23 will remain open to one lane in each direction on the eastbound bridge.

Seven, 84 foot long concrete beams need to be placed for the project. Drivers should watch for new signs as they approach Highway 23 to warn them to be prepared to slow down or stop altogether. They should also be on the lookout for additional signs, workers and equipment or find an alternate route to avoid delays.

The Minnesota State Patrol will be directing traffic.
