(KNSI) – The leader of one of St. Cloud’s largest charitable organizations is stepping down next month.
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud Executive Director Stephen Pareja is resigning to take a leadership position with Essentia Health. His last day with the nonprofit will be July 5th. Before joining Catholic Charities, he spent over 30 years in healthcare. Pareja has been the Executive Director since November 2016.
“Serving Catholic Charities’ clients and helping the organization fulfill its mission to serve all people during their time of need has been humbling and an honor,” said Pareja. “I will certainly miss being part of this exceptional organization and I am thankful for the of the support that donors and stakeholders continue to provide so we can support our community. I look forward to returning to my vocation in healthcare leadership which allows me to continue serving people with care, compassion, and hope.”
Catholic Charities’ search committee will immediately begin identifying their next executive director.
