(KNSI) — Wading pools in St. Cloud are set to open Tuesday in the nick of time as a hot streak settles over the area.
The pools at Rotary Park and Seberger Park will open at 1:00. There is a $2.25 fee to use the pool at Seberger. The wading pool at Pantown Park will open on or about June 20th.
Pools are open from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
They were closed in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, and despite the city’s best efforts, they could not find anyone to staff the pools in 2022, so the pools remained dry and closed.
Officials say most of the demand and usage over the last few years has been for splash pads. The city already has three splash pads that are open and operating. They are at Eastman Park, Riverside Park and Westwood Park. Splash pads are open from 9:00 to 7:00 p.m. The splash pad at Eastman Park will close at 5:00 p.m. on evenings when Summertime by George is going on, which kicks off Wednesday, June 14th, at 5:00 p.m. with the Johnny Holm Band and special guest Sawyer’s Dream.

The latest forecast as of Tuesday morning calls for dry conditions and highs in the mid to upper 80s. A chance for some showers and thunderstorms creeps in come Friday afternoon. That could all change, however. This is Minnesota.
