(KNSI) – Avon is calling all cowboys!
It’s time to get back into the saddle for the city’s Spunktacular Days happening on Friday and Saturday. Giddy up as the festival pulls into the Wobegon Park corral this weekend.
The medallion hunt is just dropping its first clue and on June 16th there will be a car show, live music from Kat Blue and kids’ games. The fun gets going at 5:00 p.m.
Saturday activities last from morning to night, pardner. A 5-K run is planned at 8:00 a.m. Bike, run, or walk to check in with Minnesota’s state flower, the Lady Slipper during a tour lasting from 8:00 to 10:00. Rustle up some grub at the food court beginning at 10:00.
Kids have a chance to fish at Middle Spunk Beach at 9:30. Turtle races, a petting zoo, pony rides, and a bounce house all start at 11:00. In the afternoon, there is face painting and Charlie, who ain’t no rodeo clown. A tractor pedal pull kicks off at 3:00 p.m.
It all leads up to a parade at 7:00, followed by live music from the band Pandemic, and fireworks at dusk.
