AAA State Quarterfinal
Mankato East 10, ROCORI 0 F/5 innings: The top seed got off to a hot start with two runs in the first and second innings. The Cougars then tacked on six more in the fifth to end the contest early. Mankato East starter Kylinn Stangl threw a complete game, allowing only three hits and a walk against nine strikeouts. Shortstop Peyton Stevermer drove in four, leading the way for the Cougars.
Cretin-Derham Hall 1, Becker 0: The Raiders scored an unearned run in the fifth. They only picked up two hits but that was enough. Becker had three hits and three walks.
Consolation Bracket
Becker 6, ROCORI 5: Jessica Boos had two RBI for the Spartans but it wasn’t enough to offset a five-run fifth inning for the Bulldogs. ROCORI’s season is over with a 14-11 overall record. Becker plays in the consolation game final Friday.

The Falcons rattle off five straight wins this week, including a doubleheader sweep Thursday against the top-seeded Eagles. In Class AA, the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds happen at Dick Putz Field.
