(KNSI) – The banks of the Mississippi will be alive with the sound of music this Sunday.

The Munsinger Clemens Botanical Society begins its 24th annual concert series with L’unica Quartet for a performance at 3:00 p.m. The group will be set up near the gazebo in the lower garden. Admission is free and the society will be selling root beer floats for two dollars.

There will be two shows each in the months of June, July and August. The July 23rd concert featuring the Irish music band Ring of Kerry is the annual release of the butterflies.

The botanical society teams with Quiet Oaks Hospice House. Proceeds benefit the Compassionate Care Fund, which helps residents at the home offset some of the daily cost for care.

The full schedule is here.
