(KNSI) – Saturday’s weather shattered records in St. Cloud.
The hottest mark ever hit on June 3rd since local weather began being tracked by St. Cloud State University in 1885 occurred this weekend at 92 degrees. Saturday also saw the warmest mean temperature. We averaged 79 degrees for the 24-hour period. To complete the trifecta, we had the warmest low temperature ever at 65 degrees.
By comparison, the coldest June 3rd was in 1897 when it reached 52 for a high temperature and averaged a scant 48 degrees. It normally gets to 74.6 for a max temperature, according to SCSU.
We ease closer to normal starting on Tuesday when highs moderate to the lower 80s and upper 70s for the rest of the week.
