(KNSI) – Visit Greater St. Cloud says this year’s restaurant week was a success.

The organization’s website saw extra traffic, with visits up over 21 percent in May compared to April. Executive Director Rachel Thompson says 6,300 people reached the website through the St. Cloud Area Restaurant Week landing page. Even more clicked through to the blogs that listed the featured dishes, desserts, and drinks for each day.

“We also had restaurant week blogs that outlined all of the items for the week and so we saw 7,900 views of unique visitors to those restaurant week blogs.”

Thompson says Visit Greater St. Cloud did an anonymous survey of businesses who participated and got a very positive response. All respondents said they would do restaurant week again next year. Many reported a nice bounce in the amount of patrons.

“Some of the more direct numbers… 50% reported a significant increase in foot traffic during the restaurant week as well as 60% saw an increase in their sales during restaurant week.”

Thompson says the event attracted diners from the Twin Cities and other markets to the area. She says the theme that drew the most interest was Saturday, which focused on unique finds.

St. Cloud Restaurant Week 2023 took place May 15-21.
