(KNSI) – A two-year-old child was rushed to a Twin Cities hospital after suffering life-threatening injuries in a two-car crash near Rice on Friday afternoon.

First responders were called to Highway 10 and Halfway Crossing in Langola Township around 2:45 p.m. The Minnesota State Patrol says a car driven by a 21-year-old Hutchinson woman tried to cross the highway when the car was t-boned by a pickup truck.

The toddler was taken to Children’s Hospital by helicopter. The driver of the car and a second passenger were taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The pickup truck driver wasn’t hurt. A passenger in the truck suffered minor injuries.
