(KNSI) – Michelle Pape has been selected as this year’s ATHENA Award winner.
Pape founded Next Monday in 2004. The company coaches people to grow both personally and professionally. She says, “I want each person to know that they belong, that they are enough, that they are perfectly imperfect, similar yet different.”
Pape has also been in sales and marketing at a fish wholesaler and serves on the Capital Development Project Committee for the St. Cloud Area YMCA. She was one of the lead fundraisers to move the organization to its current location.
The honor recognizes a lifetime of achievement and leadership and rewards people who help to inspire others. Winners are nominated by others. Pape was put forward by Tara Gronhovd of the YMCA.
“Michelle was a board member who passionately believed in the Y’s ability to expand its vision beyond the status quo it had become. She worked tirelessly and stepped out of her comfort zone to become one of the lead fundraisers for the campaign that helped to build our new YMCA…In addition to her work with worthy causes, Michelle is thoughtful about continuing to support women well into the future.”
Pape will receive the award at the Park Event Center in Waite Park in a September ceremony.
