(KNSI) – Let your taste buds roam to every delightful culinary crevice they can uncover without ever leaving town.
St. Cloud Area Restaurant Week’s Saturday theme is unique finds. It’s all about taking a deep dive into local menus to find a gem you’ll need to come back for down the road.
Some of the finds are hearty entrees. 7 West Taphouse’s OMG Burger boasts American cheese, bacon, beer onions, cheese curds, sauce, and two beef patties on sourdough bread. The Pickled Loon is doing a shrimp burger that looks like something from a trendy California or west coast stop. The shrimp is topped with slaw, avocado, lettuce, and garlic aioli.
Copper Kitchen is using seafood too but for breakfast. Crab Cake Benedict shares a plate with eggs and chives and a side of hashbrowns. Anton’s Restaurant in Waite Park is highlighting an appetizer. The chicken almond stuffed popover has chicken salad and almonds jammed into a delectable pocket of breading. Boulder Tap House wants you to try its giant cheese curds.
A couple of finds come from around the world. Taco Chon Mexican Grill wants you to get acquainted with the macheton. It’s described as a giant quesadilla filled to the gills with onions, cilantro, sour cream, and your choice of meat. It is served with salsa on the side. Arroy Thai and Filipinio Restaurant wants you to try its beef mechado stew.
