(KNSI) – Your new favorite fishing hole might be in your own backyard. Stearns County is reminding anglers to think local the next time they get an itch to pull out the rod and reel.

Quarry Park is one of the sites where the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources stock trout in the spring. A fishing icon on the park map shows which quarries have the highly sought-after fish.

-Warner (electric motor only)

Canoe access:

Some facilities within a half hour of St. Cloud include Mississippi River County Park, Quarry Park, Upper Spunk Lake Park, and Warner Lake County Park.
