Valleyfair Amusement Park Institutes Chaperone Policy for 2023

(KNSI) — Valleyfair Amusement Park in Shakopee is instituting a chaperone policy for 2023.

All guests under 15 must be accompanied by someone over 21 after 4:00 p.m. It comes after a rash of rowdy and unruly behavior at that park and others around the country. Chaperones can only supervise up to ten underage guests and must be reachable by phone. The policy goes for anyone under 15 who wants to enter the park or remain inside and is for all day pass and season pass holders, seven days a week.

Any unaccompanied teens inside the park after 4:00 will be told to leave.

Valleyfair opens for the season on May 14th.
