(KNSI) – St. Cloud State University’s new Autism Discovery Center is ready to be shown off to the public.

An unveiling is scheduled for Wednesday, April 26th, inside Brown Hall. Tours are self-guided. The center will use students in the Applied Behavior Analysis graduate degree program to collect data, evaluate progress, and mentor families about living with an autistic child. The students will be overseen by faculty as they prepare for a career as a behavior therapist or vocational specialist.

In addition to the services provided, the center highlights all that can be achieved despite an autism diagnosis. It features paintings made by artists living with the condition from around the globe.

The open house begins at 2:00 p.m. with complimentary parking available in the N Lot. Visitors are asked to enter Brown Hall from 8th Street.
