(KNSI) — The Minnesota State Patrol says a Brooklyn Center man suffered life-threatening injuries after he collided with a semi truck head-on Friday afternoon near Paynesville.
Investigators say just before 3:00, a 62-year-old man was driving his Impala south on Highway 23 when he drove into the path of the oncoming semi at mile marker 179. Nathan Hendrickson of Cold Spring was behind the wheel of the semi. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries. His passenger, Omar Sanchez-Trejo, was not hurt. Everyone was wearing their seatbelts.
Authorities say they believe the man had been drinking before the crash.
