(KNSI) – An organization connecting kids with learning from real-world professionals is seeking more volunteers.

Junior Achievement North is looking for everyday people to share their business experiences with classrooms in central Minnesota. District Program Coordinator Erin Brum told KNSI News they want to expand their volunteer base. “We currently have 39 more classrooms in central Minnesota still looking and hoping for a volunteer match. And we need to do that and complete them in the next three to four weeks as we know the end of the school year is upon us.”

Brum says local volunteers are essential to making the Junior Achievement program work. “They come into the classroom, and they bring that role model and that mentorship piece and that really is what makes these programs extra special and come to life. They can bring real world experiences and knowledge and the kids love it.”

She says anyone can volunteer, and they need people in all businesses and industries. April is National Volunteer Month.
