(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Engineering Department says it has canceled a planned temporary signal change at a busy city intersection.

It had alerted residents on Wednesday that the traffic lights at Cooper Avenue South and Roosevelt Road/County Road 75 would all be turned to flashing reds, making the crossing into a four-way stop. The change was expected to last from 6:00 p.m. Thursday until early Friday morning.

The department tells KNSI that it has found a different way to complete the work without altering the traditional traffic signal pattern.
