(KNSI) – Singing, dancing, costumes, and kids should make for a great time next month.

The Magic City Experience presents ‘There Is Magic In You’ on the campus of St. Cloud State University on May 13th. The group will be putting on two concerts, at 1:00 and 6:00 p.m., that is family-friendly. They’ll take the stage at the Ritsche Auditorium.

Member Shondea Thomas says there will be pop hits and songs from your favorite children’s movies. The goal is to bring your little ones out of their shell, with getting into costume suggested.

“Dressing up as your favorite movie character — you know, Elsa [from Frozen, as an example], highly encouraged. The band may or may not also be dressed up. You’ll just have to come to find out.”

Tickets cost $10-25 each and will be sold online or at the door on the day of the concerts. Thomas says the band tours across the upper Midwest, including Minnesota. They love to visit cities where family entertainment options are not a weekly or even monthly occurrence, and therefore, are in high demand.

Thomas explains how buying a ticket helps the community as a whole.

“At every show, we try to give back to the community in some way. So for this show in particular, we’re collaborating with 180 Degrees youth shelter, and a portion of our ticket proceeds will be donated to them. They help youth out in St. Cloud.”
