(KNSI) – The 5th annual Central Minnesota First Responder Appreciation event is coming up this summer to say thanks to those who keep our communities safe.
The date is set for Tuesday, June 1st, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Benton County fairgrounds in Sauk Rapids. Families are invited to come out and meet the first responders and see their tools and trucks. It’s free, but donations are accepted. All proceeds will go to the St. Cloud Public Safety Foundation.
The celebration started in 2016 as a way to honor and show support to community service members that show up in times of every time in a time of need.
