(KNSI) — The Becker Police Department says one person is under arrest after a standoff on Tuesday.
A press release says they were called to a home for a domestic assault at around 2:00 p.m. The woman was visibly injured and taken to CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital by ambulance for treatment. She had non-life-threatening injuries and was later released.
The suspect allegedly barricaded himself in the house and refused commands to come out. Eventually, officers obtained a search warrant and entered the home, where they found him hiding in the garage. He was taken into custody without further incident.
He is facing felony domestic assault charges and is being held in the Sherburne County Jail without bail.
KNSI does not typically name suspects until they have been formally charged.
