(KNSI) – Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools’ interim principal will become the school’s permanent replacement pending board approval.
Sandy Lagano’s contract is expected to be approved at Monday’s school board meeting. She has been the interim high school principal since the spring of 2022 and is a long-time district employee. Lagano will officially begin her new role on July 1st. She originally took over the role from former Principal Karl Nohner after he resigned in April of 2022. Nohner announced his resignation after accepting a job at CentraCare.
Logrono began her career as a teacher and coach at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School in 1991. She went on to become an academic dean before accepting the high school principal position at Becker High School. In 2017, Logrono returned to Sauk Rapids-Rice High School to serve as an assistant principal before being named interim high school principal.
She has been a social studies teacher from 1991 – 2003, the academic dean and teacher at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School from 2003 – 2007, and the assistant principal at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School from 2017 – 2022.
